Over my close to 17 years in the Energy Industry I have seen the industry become more successful at getting women into Engineering roles, Recruiting more women into the Energy Industry and Retaining more women through their Early Careers into First Level Management
Our present challenge as an Industry is “Getting More Women into Senior Leadership positions (CEO to N-3 from CEO) and Board Positions"
AWEinEnergy was founded out of my personal passion navigating my career through the industry and realizing that no formal support exists today to combat the barriers preventing the Energy Industry getting more women to the top!
The ongoing downturn in the Energy Industry has caused a reduction in the number of employees globally. The loss of Female Leaders through this reduction has further limited the talent pool. AWEinEnergy plans to be a pathway to reintroduce such Women to Leadership careers in Energy
